Owners Linda and Laurence Monds are dedicated to building an impressive legacy with their peerless level of commitment and passion for the business.
Linda, Laurence and family reside onsite and take a hands-on management approach to ensure the best outcomes for all Tyreel’s bloodstock. They achieve this through developing close insights into the needs of each individual horse to design personalised management, preparation, and feed programs overseen by an expert staff team, along with specialist nutritionists, farriers and veterinary care.
All our broodmares are bred to quality sires to enhance their physical genetics and compliment their racing ability, while maintaining a commercial product that enables us to sell only the best quality yearlings that will go on in the future to succeed on the track.
Some of the facilities at Tyreel Stud include two quality yearling barns, horse walker, lunge ring, day yards, yearling runs and a hospital barn/maternity ward with foaling yards and smaller grass paddocks. During the breeding season our mares are video monitored and alarmed around the clock.
Looking to the future, Linda and Laurence will continue to lead the industry with an individual approach to all Tyreel’s horses that combines the latest technology and best-practice expertise with their driving personal passion for breeding top-class racehorses.

During the last seven years Tyreel has been the nursery to relatively small numbers of youngsters. This select band of horses has been nurtured and cared for in Tyreel’s unique environment, infrastructure and systems, generating an astounding 20 stakes/group performers to have been raised on the farm and sold through Australia’s leading auction houses.
